Our Store
The steel industry frequently uses manganese as an alloying component as well as a deoxidizing and desulfurizing additive. It can increase the steel's strength, toughness, stiffness, hardness, wear resistance, and hardenability as well as its rolling and forging properties. Examples include gyratory crushers, jaw-crusher plates, railroad points, and crossing components. Steel with 12% or more manganese is utilised in situations where significant toughness and wear resistance are required. Steel with 8-15% manganese can have a high tensile strength of up to 863 MPa.
